The Kaleido Sniper M1 Lite has been introduced to make the M1 platform more accessible, without changing what makes it such a capable home roaster.

Designed for home roasters who plan to roast using Artisan, the M1 Lite delivers the same core roasting performance as the M1 Pro, in a simplified and more cost-accessible format.

The original M1 has proved hugely popular, but for some the price point was a stretch. The Lite brings the same roasting capability in a pared-back format, allowing Kaleido to offer a lower entry point while keeping results in the cup the same.

If you’re planning to roast exclusively with Artisan and want the best value entry point into the M1 platform, the M1 Lite makes a lot of sense. If you prefer a more established platform with a fuller physical specification, the M1 Pro remains a solid option.

The M1 Lite uses the same roasting technology and airflow principles as the M1 Pro, but with a simplified exterior and feature set:

• Simplified body panel design

• No carry handle

• No light on the bean trier

• Fixed (non-removable) power cable

• No external power switch

• Cooling tray requires minimal assembly

• Available in black only

The M1 Lite is supplied in the equivalent of the M1 Pro configuration, meaning it is designed to be run via Artisan rather than Kaleido’s proprietary tablet software.

No — the M1 Lite is designed to run exclusively with Artisan software.

Can I roast back-to-back batches?
Yes. Like all Kaleido roasters, the M1 Lite supports continuous back-to-back roasting.

How many roasts per hour can I do?
Typically around 4–5 roasts per hour, depending on roast length and workflow.

Is the M1 Lite available in other colours?
At present, the M1 Lite is only available in black.
